Hello, Mid-High Families,
Just a few updates and reminders for Week #5!
Our Penny Drive (competition between Elementary and Mid-High) is ending this week! The last day for collection will be Wednesday, 7/25. We will perform our final count and announce the winning team on Thursday. Whoever wins will get to throw water balloons at the staff on Monday, 7/30!
All proceeds go directly to keeping our program thriving!
Join us for our Aubree’s Fundraiser! It will be Tuesday, July 24th, from 5:00-8:00PM.
Fundraising proceeds apply to the buffet only. Buffet includes bottomless salad, pizza, breadsticks, and a drink. The cost is $15, and $5 of each order will come right back to the program!
Flyers for this event have been emailed out and posted on Facebook.
Please be sure to bring a hard copy of this flyer to notify the staff at Aubree’s that you are participating in the fundraiser! Encourage family, friends, and neighbors to join!
Join us for our car wash fundraiser! It will be Saturday, July 28th, from 10:00AM-1:00PM in the Dairy Queen parking lot. This event will be run by staff, high school volunteers, and some ninth grade participants.
If your student received a permission slip, they have been invited to help out during the event. Please remind them that their permission slips are due on Thursday, 7/26—but the sooner they can get them to me, the better! As of right now, we only have a few students who have turned them in, and getting a headcount early helps us plan the event as efficiently as possible.
Everyone else, of course, is welcome to come visit and get their cars washed! Washes are paid for with a donation of your choice.
Please encourage your student to continue working on lines (even though they should be memorized now) and to bring their scripts every day!
Our annual Tricky Tray fundraiser will take place on performance nights. We are still in need of prizes! If you are able, please begin bringing items in this week. We collect various donated items between $5 and $10 from families to raffle at the end of each performance night.
If you would like to volunteer in any way, please let us know! We would love and appreciate any help you are able to provide, and your dedication contributes to the longevity of our program!
Our Middle School Performance is coming up fast! It will take place on Friday, August 3rd.
Please have your students bring in their costumes as soon as possible for staff to approve.
Students will have a dress rehearsal the morning of August 3rd, from 9:30AM-1:00PM. Lunch must be packed. Students will not be allowed to leave campus or order in for lunch that day, as it will be a “working” lunch.
The performance begins at 7:00PM in the SLHS auditorium. Admission is free. Please bring your family and friends to join the fun!

August 2nd: No program for Middle School ("Mid-High"). This is our Elementary performance day. You are more than welcome to join us at 7:00PM! Admission is free.
August 3rd: Dress rehearsal will be held from 9:30AM-1:00PM. Students are required to pack their own lunch for dress rehearsal. Please remind them that they are not allowed to leave campus or order delivery on this day, as the staff will be working on notes with them during lunch.
August 3rd: Our final performance will be held at 7:00PM. Admission is free for all patrons. Please note that students will be asked to arrive early in order to prepare for their shows. This typically means between 6:30-6:45. We will have a final time to report in my email next Monday.
