Good morning!

Just as a quick reminder, this is a short week. The program will only meet today (Monday) and tomorrow (Tuesday). There will be no program on Wednesday, July 4th, or Thursday, July 5th. Enjoy your holiday, and sessions will resume as normal on Monday, July 9th.

Thank you!

Hi, Parents!

Just as a reminder, if your student has opted to purchase the T-Shirt for the Elementary Program (in which they volunteer), the $5 payment is due on Tuesday, July 3rd.

If you have a high school volunteer (10th grade and older), they may purchase one shirt for $5, or both shirts for $8, even if they only participate in one session.

Please note, if they are enrolled in the Mid-High Program, they will automatically receive the Mid-High T-Shirt—this was included in your registration fee.

The $5 is specifically for receiving the second (different color) shirt for volunteering in the Elementary program.

If you have additional questions related to this topic, you may direct them to Heidi Betts (elementary@slsummerenrichment.org) or Marcie Kryka (midhigh@slsummerenrichment.org.)

Thank you very much, and thank you for a wonderful first week!

Hello, Enrichment families!

Monday we will be announcing an exciting fundraising activity for both our Elementary and Middle School Students! Profits from this fundraiser go directly into the Summer Enrichment Program.

This summer, we will once again be orchestrating a penny drive. The way that this works is that we will have one collection for Elementary, and one collection for Mid-High. Donated pennies will be counted as "positive" points towards the session in which they are enrolled. However, any silver (nickels, dimes, quarters, half dollars, etc) or cash can be used to put into the opposing session's collection to make their points NEGATIVE!

For example, if 2nd grader Bobby brings in 50 pennies for his Elementary collection, but 7th grader Molly brings in two quarters (50 cents) to put into the Elementary collection, the Elementary points go back to "0". This is a fun and competitive way to raise money that goes right back into the program. The winning team will win a prize at the end of the summer, the plans for which are still underway!

We will be explaining the rules in detail to the kids on Monday, but you are more than welcome to send them with donations beforehand!

I will also be cross-posting this to Facebook and sending the information via email.

Thank you, and I hope you're all enjoying your summer so far!
